HR 2306 would treat marijuana like alcohol under federal law. It would remove marijuana from the federal list of controlled substances.
HR 2306, the Ending Federal Marijuana Prohibition Act of 2011 has been languishing in the U.S. House of Representatives all summer. GOP Congressman Lamar Smith continues to refuse to give the bill a hearing in his committee, but on the bright side, the bill now has 17 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives.
